Issue with Worksheet 303

We have updated a database item (supplier information) in HQ and are running a 303 to communicate with the stores.  However, during the sync process we get an error message "Supplier "X" for item "Y" not found in store database.  Data not updated."  However, the supplier IS in the store database.  I did run a 206 just to be safe.  Still didn't work.


Incorrect Committed Quantities

v2.0.1006 We're seeing some committed quantities that don't match up with what is on Workorders/Backorders/Layaways. Anybody know what causes that and how to fix it? I have security set on the committed field so it can't be edited. I tried the query here but it returned zero rows: mbs2.microsoft.com/.../kbdisplay.aspx

different receipt for quote than work order/sales etc.

We have structured our quotes to print XXXXX instead of a dollar amount (similar to a gift receipt, we just don't want a price breakdown for quotes.. only a total)

When we convert these quotes to work orders or sales receipts it keeps the XXXXX instead of printing our normal work order receipt (with amounts printing)

Is there a setting I should change in the XML file so that the XXXXX changes to an amount when the quote is turned into a work order or sale?

Change Item Quantity after issuing transfer out?? Please Help!

Hello,

Is there a way to change the quantity of an item from a transfer out after the transfer was sent and received?

Instead of 60 i typed 600 for the quantity, now my numbers on the reports are off!

Hello,

I want to edit the design of the Transfer in  form printed from the Transfer in window in RMS 2.0 But I couldn't find it from the folder where all other reports are stored.

How do I edit the design.

MS Outlook 2013 and exporting report in RMS Manager by email / html

Hi,

It was possible to export a report from RMS Manager and send it by html in an email. Now it is not working with Outlook 2013 and RMS 2.0 When I go to export a report in RMS and send it by email  / html it gives me an error saying "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run MS Outlook and ...."

Outlook 2013 is the default mail client and still it is not working.

Anyone came across this issue when exporting reports in RMS to Email / html ??

No Sale Reason Code/Description Variable for Receipt Template

Hi,

I'd like to edit my receipt template to include the reason code or reason description on the receipt printed with no sales, so that it can be placed in the drawer and matched with records when an audit needs to be performed. However, after looking all through the customization guide, I cannot locate a receipt template variable for no sale reason codes. Following the format of the other variables, I would expect it to be something like Transaction.ReasonNoSale.Description, but it isn't mentioned among the transaction or transaction entry variables.

Any help that can be provided would be appreciate. Thanks.

Error 326 When processing the Credit Cards

Gentlemen I understand that there are posts to this issue and some people suggested to use the Administrator and Enable EDC ( fill in all of the necessary information). WE have done that and the issue still persists. We do runt it as an Admin user. Do you have any suggestions as far as to how to fix this issue ? We use TSYS for processing Credit cards. WE filled in the info from the TSYS VAR sheet we received. We are really trying to figure this out ...

When i open POS for one database i got the following error and can't open POS:

Row Cannot be located for updating. Some values may have been changed since it was last read.

I can find a column named ComputedQuantity in TransactionEntry table as well as in the InventoryTransferLog Table.

Could any body will let me know what this field is for and how the values are calculated for this?

UNABLE TO CANCEL 301 WORKSHEET SO NEW WORKSHEET WILL RUN

I have a 301 Style worksheet that has been running to change pricing on green tag items.  However, now that is past it's end date it continues to run.  When I issue a new worksheet it is ignored and the green tag worksheet keeps running.  Any ideas?

Actions taken so far with no resolution:

-Restarted RMS server

-Restarted Store Register #1/database

-Restarted Store firewall

-Cancelled and re-issued all style 301 worksheets several times

Hi,

We have a requirement to provide swipe cards for cashier. Has anyone tried using swipe cards for RMS.

The command should be like" username" TAB key "password" ENTER Key. How can it be encoded in magnetic stripe in PVC card.

How do i keep track and enter in inventory??

Hey Guys,

I'm new to the forum and just got the Microsoft RMS at my workplace and i'm having issues with inventory.

What i want to how to do is:

-What is the best way to enter in and update inventory besides going to the items tab than finding the item, clicking on the inventory tab and than entering in the restock value? the issue i have with this is that if i have 250 items on hand and want to add in 140, i would have to add up 250 and 140 to get my inventory count. I dont mind doing the math its just a bit tedious going through all these steps just to enter in your incoming inventory?

-I have no clue what the Transfer Inventory In/Out is, can someone please explain to me what that is and would that be something i should consider?

By the way, all the answers in this forum is VERY MUCH helpful. I almost never do forums but you guys are AWESOME!!

Print Serial Numbers on Purchase Orders or Transfers

Is there a way to add the serial numbers received or transferred on the printed purchaser order form or transfer form?  I tried modifying the templates to include Entry.Serialized.Number1 but it’s not printing anything.


Removing versionhistory entries from SQL

Aloha,

We are having a problem installing a third party addin (RMSify). The install fails as it is checking the current version in the versionhistory table. MaxVersion in that table is returning 3.01. When in fact the database is at version 2.05. Assuming we have no other third party addins (which I am mostly confident we do not), is there any danger in deleting all version entries except 2.05 (where we currently are, based on Operations Administrator)?

The queries I am running are

To obtain the current version:

select max(version) from versionhistory

And to remove older entries from that table:

delete from versionhistory where version='3.01'

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Cashier/Sales Rep Inactivation?

Is there a way to Inactivate a cashier/sales rep? Any similar option for Sales Rep?? I would like to keep the history of the cashier and sales rep so deleting is not an option but if the employee is no longer in the company, we dont want any access to the system.

Label with UPC-E Barcode

Hello Everyone,

RMS Store Operations, v 2.0.0155

Several companies in the grocery arena are now re-labeling their products using UPC-E bar codes to have more space for their marketing/product information.  The store owner would like to put a bar code on the shelf tag (label).  There is no UPC-E option on the bar code drop-down for an item so I'm assuming there is no integration in RMS to be able to generate a UPC-E.  Has anyone dealt with this issue and what solution did you come up with?

I'd like to keep either a UPC-A or UPC-E bar code on the labels within the store so I'm thinking that I may need to use an third party bar code generator that will handle a batch file to handle the UPC-E label printing or take the UPC-E and derive a UPC-A code and put the UPC-E in as an alias.

Hi All, i have a client who needs to be able to be prompted for a rep on each line item in the sale where the item is non inventory (service in this instance)

It is for a hair salon where the owner wants to assign commission to people who have performed tasks within the transaction.

Eg: Jane does the hair wash,  Jody does the foils and tint and Zohan does the cut and style. All get commission based on their own particular rates.
