I'm the IT guy for a small retail company that has two stores. We currently have RMS 1.3 installed on Windows XP Pro machines. We have the 2.0 disc's which have not been installed yet.
I have a few questions i hope can be answered...
1. Is Microsoft RMS being discontinued?
2. Can Microsoft Dynamics RMS 1.3 or 2.0 run on Windows 7, 8 or the up coming 10?
3. Can RMS handle chip credit cards processing or is this just a third party hardware issue?
3. We are considering upgrading to 2.0 but i don't think the owner remembers the HQ Client configuration DB server password. Will this be a problem if we upgrade?
