Customer on RMS 2.0, SP4. Sale in Dec for 20-ish dollars. Refund on Jan 4. Sales tax went up on Jan 1. They recall the txn for refund and process. It calculates the sales tax refunded based on the current tax rate, not the rate on the recalled receipt. This caused them to refund .21 more than the original sale. I believe this is correct. Recalling the receipt just fills in the refund with the info to start with. Anytime I have ever returned anything, the sales tax is calculated on the rate in effect at the store I am in on the day I do the refund. Customer is arguing with me. Has anyone else run across this?
