I have been using RMS since 2006. When it was set up the database was installed on SQL 2000. We currently have RMS 2.0.0123 installed on an XP pro operating system. I know I'm on borrowed time.
My goal is to export the existing RMS database off the old system and install it on a new PC.
I have purchased a new PC which has Windows 8 installed on it.
I have already downloaded SQL 2008 express, loaded from my disk the original RMS 2.0 (now I need to download and install all the updates) and have the backed up data base from my existing POS system. I'm hoping there is a detailed procedure on how to
connect the SQL/RMS/database all together.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
