We were experimenting Deadlock errors in a few of our stores. After doing some research I noticed that Hotfix #34 addressed this issue. We were running v2.0.0150. After installing SP4, FP2 and Hotfix #37 (v2.0.1006), I found a few oddities. First, launching HQ Administrator is really slow. Second, exporting a store database fails with run-time errors after attempting to connect to the template database.
I ended up reinstalling v2.0.0150, restoring both the store template and headquarters databases from the pre-update versions, and re-testing the db export. It worked. So I installed SP4 (2.0.0155) and it still worked. After Feature Pack 2 however, HQ Admin became once again very slow to launch and exporting a new store db fails once again with Run-Time error '-2146233087 (80131501)' Failed to connect to server.
I would think that since the HQ Server (which hosts the HQ database and Store Template db) is on a different domain, it might be related to rights and/or permissions to the database/server/share. However why would it work fine with v2.0.0150 and v2.0.0155, then start to fail with v2.0.1000 ?
Has anyone else had run-time error issues after installing Feature Pack 2 ?
